The event is low key. This is an opportunity for neighbors to get to know one another. There will be live music, compliments of the band Neon Browne. Please bring a snack to share (if you wish) and everyone should bring their own beverages!

What is Kalmia?

This is the question which is the answer to the clue “The main street of Sherwood Forest”

But Kalmia is also the name of a plant called Mountain Laurel (Kalmia latifolia) also called calico-bush or spoonwood. It is a flowering shrub or small tree related to azaleas, rhododendron and blueberries which is native to the eastern United States. Chances are that it was present in Forest before the land was cleared and so gave the name to the street. There are specimen plants in the Arboretum!
