Holiday Parties in the Forest!

Family Fun with Santa!
Saturday, December 4, 4pm-7pm

Join your Sherwood Forest Neighbors Saturday December 4th from 4pm-7pm on Allen’s Way culdesac for some holiday fun. Neighbors are invited for a Christmas drop in with hay ride and visit from Santa.

BYOB, park on Bloomwood or walk, and bring a mask if you want your child to sit on Santa’s lap.

Night Out with Adults!
Friday, January 7, 6pm-9pm

The 12th Night Adult Gathering is set for Friday, January 7th hosted by Regina Monteith at 530 Kilbourne Road. The property is known as Bloomwood, the original 1920’s home of W. Gordon Belser.

Strict Covid-19 proof of vaccination is required. Traditional potluck protocols will apply with beverages furnished by the Association.

SFNA works to provide opportunities to create neighborhood unity, provide information of interest to our neighbors, and promote and enhance the Forest as a desirable location to live, work, and play!

The SFNA can speak with one voice to address issues affecting our neighborhood regarding City services, utility work, code violations, and other problems or opportunities.

Dues are used to provide refreshments and cover other expenses at our meetngs and events, support the Arboretum (in particular, the gardens at each entrance which SFNA had installed and maintains), refill pet waste station bags, install and maintain street sign toppers (which unfortunately is an ongoing task), for our online presence, and other miscellaneous expenses.

UofSC Belser Arboretum Open House
Sunday, December 19, 1-4pm

All are welcome to join us at Open House, always the 3rd Sunday of every month. Gates are open at Bloomwood Road and Wilmot Avenue.

The regularly scheduled clean up has been postponed to a date to be determined.

Crier emails
These informational emails around the first of every month to keep neighbors and friends up do date on neighborhood events, and other events and information of interest.

If you have information of interest to the neighborhood, please pass it along and we may include it in a future Crier.

Tell your friends and neighbors to subscribe. No membership required, but of course we would like everybody to join! New neighbor? Let us know and we’ll send out the welcome wagon.
